ReplyDeletesome distribution of linux/gnu are not free of cost becoz of hardware functionality.
Deletebecoz some of hardware manufacturer release restricting firmware & driver. these are available at no cost bt with restrictive licence . though some gnu distributors don't compromise on freedom of software of user.so they have some cost for full hardware functionality .
other reason is...u know red hat have also cost bt u see it have 7 years long time support that have an importance in itself. so for longtime support we have pay for this feature.
